I believe this was an ‘international’ theme so Mads and Norma have taken great pride in dressing you as a Russian doll. Something that needs explaining to LITERALLY EVERYONE ELSE 🤦🏼♀️ Enthusiasm for theatre doesn’t always translate so well to school friends.
Side note: Ruth is another dancing chum you’re lucky enough to have as a wingwoman when starting a new school. She’ll be a successful lawyer – a path she’s already forging. Like when she grassed you up to Mrs Hardy for using a calculator under the lid of the old school flip desk during a maths test.

Turns out you’re quite a natural sportsperson… but lack the conviction you’re good enough to take it too seriously. Uncle Baz takes you skiing in Austria (nice ‘poo stance’) and shows you how to swing a golf club – he says you’re a natural! ⛳
Watching Wimbledon has definitely got you wanting to look the part for tennis and utterly idolising Steffi Graf… by far Germany’s greatest export 🎾
You’ve also grown to LOVE football (soccer). Obsessively collecting Premier League stickers for three seasons straight – knowing all the players, teams, sponsors and other trivia by heart. Going to ballet classes straight from practice (with muddy knees) happens on many occasions.
I haven’t found any photos of you playing soccer. I’m guessing because it’s unusual for girls to play football right now. Thankfully this changes A LOT over the coming years 🙌🏼 🥳
Less than encouraging comments have been made by people you love and it’s definitely dampened your enthusiasm – but not enough to stop you playing 😜👏🏼
You’ll eventually be chosen to represent South East England Under 16s – one step away from potential national selection 🏴 ⚽️
🎓 Lesson? When anything lights you up THIS much, do everything you can to spend more time doing it! ASK FOR HELP to pursue it further. Neither of these things are easy when you’re a grown up so the sooner you do it, the better 💜
