This is one of those ‘hallmark’ years Ames – one with all the feelings…
You started it engaged. You ended it – well, ummm – single. Didn’t see that coming. Turns out things can change fast when they’re meant to 😵💫
🎓 I guess the future learning is that sometimes the right choices are the hardest to make. And – along the way…
🎓 Allow yourself to feel EVERYTHING. Fully. All the joy when things are good, along with time, space and grace when things get hard. This will allow you to keep moving forward in a healthy and sustainable way. Don’t get stuck in either of the extremes of highs or lows for too long – everything is temporary and life always finds a way to swing the pendulum accordingly over time… let that sink in!
🎓 Allowing YOURSELF to feel all the things also means you don’t need to share it with everyone all the time. This is what is known as emotional dumping and you’ll get to learn that rarely brings out the best in anyone 🤕
Seriousness aside… still adding some cool stuff to the life resume ✅
Queenstown keeps providing epic friendship memories. Among which, another showbiz experience playing an undertaker’s wife… immortalised by your mates who now refer fondly to you as ‘Sourface’. With love of course 🤨
Thank god for Flight Centre and all who sailed in her from 2009-2015 🙏🏼 Walking in to a job selling First & Business class travel is a massive win at a time of financial pressure. Not to mention another team of pretty awesome (and hilarious) humans to work with – also much needed at this time 🤪
🎓 Having a job that pays well, surrounded by great people, doing something you do not absolutely loathe is actually GOLD. Despite fluctuating levels of enthusiasm and passion, you may not fully appreciate this until you’ve leapt in to the realms of self-employment for a food few years 💜
Financial stability has the ability to impact every other area of life. It may not satisfy your emotional extremes right now, but you’ll appreciate an ability to share this perspective one day when online influencers have the world believing everyone needs to “be a boss and live a laptop lifestyle”… 🤢
